Prenatal SupportWe educate our families on the latest birth information so that they can make well-informed decisions. Our goal is to hold sacred space for the laboring loved one and assist with unanticipated needs that may arise along the way. As part of your birth team, we listen and discuss in detail your birth vision, We practice birthing positions to prepare for labor, relaxation techniques, and ways to move beyond fear. We believe that every parent should be aware of their birth choices and personalize a plan to address their needs.

Labor SupportBenefit from in home support prior to going to the hospital or birth center.
You and your partner will feel confident when labor begins, knowing you have your doula’s support to rely on. Remain relaxed, knowing that her comfort, information, and encouragement is there to guide you. Once together, your Labor Doula provides support that is tailored to you, your family, as well as your focus and intentions for a healthy, positive birth experience. She assist with getting you settled into your labor room and will continue her support for you and your partner throughout your labor and birth. She provides continuous care and is a source of information and comfort until you meet your baby. Once your baby arrives, your doula spends time supporting early breastfeeding, helps you freshen up and encourages rest to recover. We know how important continuity of support is for your postpartum recovery, this is why Sisterly Love recommends a package that includes additional postpartum support. |
Postpartum SupportThe first postpartum visit (included with certain packages) typically lasts about an hour and is recommended to take place within the first week of your birth. During this postpartum visit, you can expect:
We will call within 24 hours after your birth to schedule a postpartum visit. *DO NOT hesitate to call should you need us sooner or have questions. The second postpartum visit consist of 2 hours or longer (per contract or client request care) within the first 3 weeks of your baby’s life. During this postpartum visit, expect:
We provide information that will help you recognize the signs and symptoms of postpartum depression and so much more. Continued Postpartum support can be available to further assist you and your family should you decide to extend our services. |
